Ram Bhajan grew up in a village in Dausa district, Rajasthan. His parents used to work as labourers to earn a living.
Ram Bhajan completed his schooling from a government school. Then, he joined the Delhi Police as a constable.
Remarkably, he earned his undergraduate and postgraduate degree while working full-time as a constable. He even cracked the NET-JRF exam in Hindi in the year 2012.
Ram Bhajan was fond of studying. During his free time on duty, he began preparing for the UPSC exam.
Even after getting married, Ram Bhajan continued his UPSC preparation. He gave his first attempt in 2015 but could not succeed in it.
He experienced failures in 2016 and 2017. In the year 2018, he reached the interview stage, but could not secure a place in the final list of selected candidates.
Ram Bhajan faced setbacks in seven consecutive attempts. However, he never lost hopes of achieving his dreams.
In his eighth attempt in 2022, Ram Bhajan’s perseverance paid off when he ranked 667th in the exams.
