IAS Abdul Nasar is an inspiring officer who became an IAS officer without passing the UPSC exam.
At the young age of 5, B Abdul Nasar lost his father. He grew up in an orphanage along with his siblings, while his mother earned a living as a domestic help.
Abdul Nasar spent 13 years of his life in the orphanage. At 10, he even worked as a hotel cleaner.
He graduated from a government college and did menial jobs like distributing newspapers, tutoring students, and working as a phone operator.
Abdul Nasar earned a postgraduate degree in 1994 and secured a job in the Kerala Health Department.
In the year 2006, he was promoted to the position of Deputy Collector.
Abdul Nasar was promoted to the prestigious rank of IAS in the year 2017.
