Rajasthan’s Maheshwari Chauhan has qualified for the Paris Olympics 2024 in women skeet shooting.
Maheshwari Chauhan is a resident of Jalore district, Rajasthan. She bagged a silver medal in Skeet Shooting in ISSF Final Shotgun Olympic Qualification Championship held in Doha.
She received training under the national coach Vikram Singh. She holds the record as the first Indian to win a medal in women’s skeet at an international event.
Maheshwari Chauhan, born on 4 July 1996, is married to Adhiraj Singh. Her father runs a hotel business.
Her grandfather, Ganpat Singh, and father, Pradeep Singh, are also national level champions.
Chief Minister of Rajasthan Bhajan Lal Sharma congratulated Maheshwari on her accomplishment.
