Ummul Kher’s Resilient Tale of Braving Through a Bone Disease & Slum Life to Become an IAS Officer

Ummul Kher was born in a poor household in Rajasthan. Her family relocated to Delhi, and after the demise of her mother, she did not receive any support from her family. Despite the difficulties, Ummul successfully cleared NET JRF in 2013. In 2016, Ummul cleared the UPSC exams in her first attempt. She secured 420th rank and became an IAS officer.
