As 2023 comes to a close, preparations for New Year celebrations are underway. The government has already issued the holiday calendar for 2024.
Republic Day will mark the first holiday on 26 January, followed by Holi on 25 March, Good Friday on 29 March, and Eid-ul-Fitr on 11 April.
Ramnavami will be celebrated on 17th April, followed by Mahavir Jayanti on 21st April, and Buddha Purnima on 23rd.
Bakrid will be observed on 17th June, followed by Moharram on 17th July, and Independence Day on 15th August.
Rakshabandhan will be observed on 19th August. Janmashtami is scheduled for 26th August followed by Milad-un-Nabi on 16th September.
Dussehra will be celebrated on 12th October. Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October will remain a holiday. The festival of lights, Diwali will be celebrated on 31st October.
Guru Nanak Jayanti is scheduled for 15th November. Christmas will be celebrated as usual on 25th December.
