Ans- According to a British economic historian, India’s economy was approximately 24 percent of the global economy during British colonization.

dwindled to a mere 2 percent. The British exploited India’s resources. This led to a surge in unemployment and heightened pressure on the agricultural sector.

Ans- Both. England’s weakened state after World War II played a crucial role in the push towards independence. Indians fought to overthrow the British rule.
