Praveen Sharma, hailing from Bihar, comes from an underprivileged background. Due to financial challenges, he had to discontinue his studies after class 12.
Working as a labourer, Praveen earned some money and saved it to start his own business.
Praveen began making slippers to earn a living. When the first 10 pairs sold out, it boosted his confidence.
He learned about a government loan scheme and decided to take a loan to launch a startup in 2021.
The path was challenging as the local market for slippers was limited and there was already a variety of products available.
Despite the difficulties, Praveen continued exploring more market opportunities.
Today, he receives orders from other states as well. He earns significant income through his business endeavours.
The products are supplied from Barari, Bihar. Praveen’s startup ‘Smart Footwear’ offers over 60 different types of products.
