The Election Commission has banned movies starring Ambareesh’s widow Sumalatha Ambareesh and HD Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Kumaraswamy ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

Sumalatha, the widow of actor-turned-politician Ambareesh formally announced that she would contest the Lok Sabha polls from Mandya as an independent. The decision has finally ended weeks of speculation over her move

 

The issue of Sumalatha, widow of cine actor Ambareesh, contesting from Mandya has been giving sleepless nights to many. While JD(S) sees it as a threat, Congress wants to stay away from it as Mandya is a stronghold of the JD(S).

In a tribute to her late husband, Gauri Mahadik has cracked the Services Selection Board in the widow category. Gauri Mahadik lost her husband in the year 2017 to a fire accident in Arunachal Pradesh. Gauri will be inducted as a Lieutenant in March 2020.

On August 15, last year, Sudhakaran met with the accident while he was travelling from Nilambur to Kozhikode after a teacher's camp.
