Pulwama attack: One must also confess that there is a perennial perception, if not threat, that a visit to the state of Jammu and Kashmir is risky.
 

Major Bisht was leading a bomb disposal squad team for sanitisation after mines were detected in Naushera sector of Rajouri on Saturday. He defused one of the mines successfully but suffered grievous injuries while neutralising another. 

Tahseen Gul, a second year BTech student of Chitkara University in Baddi, had put up a picture of Dar as his Whatsapp profile photo. He also changed his status to:  “Allah Talah aap ki shahadat kabool kare (May Allah accept your martydom)” 

Some media organisations even carried the story based on the tweets, but after verifying the details, the Uttarakhand Police said those were rumours and while there was confusion regarding pro-Pakistan slogans raised by Kashmiri girls, it was sorted.

In the wake of the Pulwama attack, the Indian government has decided to withdraw the security cover and other facilities provided to Kashmiri separatist leaders Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Abdul Ghani Bhat, Bilal Lone, Hashim Qureshi and Shabir Shah.

40 jawans were martyred in Pulwama in one of the deadliest attacks on the security forces in Kashmir, on February 14. On Thursday, a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) suicide bomber rammed an SUV carrying over 200kg of explosives, into a CRPF bus in Pulwama district.

 H Guru (33) from Gudigere village near KM Doddi from Mandya district, Karnataka, is, unfortunately, one of the 39 jawans, who lost their lives in the suicide attack at Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir.
