Kangana Ranaut is known for her outspoken nature. Recently, she claimed that rape and murder occurred during the farmers' protest, a statement from which the BJP has distanced itself. This is not the first time Ranaut has been in the news for controversial statements. Here are six such instances.

Farmers of five villages in Faridabad, Haryana, will show black flags to chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar and shout slogans against the state government on August 28, in protest of not fulfilling their demands after the government sold 120 acres of their land to Industrial Model Town (IMT).

Farmers are expressing doubts if Kumaraswamy-led Karnataka government has yielded to pressure from sugar mill owners.
