Urad Dal Laddu offer several health benefits. This sweet dish is meant to be enjoyed especially in the colder months.
Urad Dal Laddus are tasty and rich in protein. This sweet treat provides protection to the children and the elderly from the cold.
200 gm urad dal
10 cardamom
200 gm powdered sugar
5 tbsp ghee
200 gm jaggery powder
9-10 almonds
Water
Start by soaking urad dal overnight. Once soaked, drain the water, heat a pan, add ghee, fry the lentils, and grind them after cooling.
Make a powder of cardamom. In a separate pan, create syrup of sugar and jaggery. Then, mix the urad dal mixture into the syrup.
Ensure that urad dal and syrup are mixed thoroughly. Add cardamom powder and ghee to the mixture. Apply some ghee to your hands, and begin shaping the mixture into small laddus.
After you’re done making the laddus, garnish then with almonds.
