Following Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh is set to launch an MBBS course in Hindi, starting this year.
This initiative by the Chhattisgarh government will benefit students from rural areas, many of whom attend Hindi medium schools and struggle with studying medicine in English.
CM Bhupesh Baghel stated that studying in Hindi will reinforce students' foundational knowledge and foster a deeper understanding of the subject.
Madhya Pradesh was the first state to introduce MBBS textbooks in Hindi, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah launching these books on 16 October 2022.
Following Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand became the second state to offer an MBBS course in Hindi, officially announcing the course in medical colleges.
Bihar has also decided to launch an MBBS course in Hindi, aligning with the syllabus of AIIMS Delhi. This new program will be available for those who have passed the NEET UG 2024.
