A village in Uttar Pradesh holds a special distinction of boasting the highest number of IAS and IPS officers in the country.
Madho Patti village has 75 houses. It has made a significant contribution by producing 47 IAS and IPS officers.
Besides civil services, Madho Patti village also boasts of several officials in high ranks.
Most IAS and IPS officers achieve the distinction solely through self-study.
In the year 1952, Dr Indu Prakash emerged as the first IAS officer from the village.
Dr Indu Prakash has worked as a diplomat in various foreign countries. His four brothers are also IAS officers. In 2002, his son Yashasvi secured 31st rank in UPSC.
Reports suggest that, since 2019, no one from the village has achieved this feat.
The women of the village have also secured notable positions as PCS officers.
