Do you need a permit?

To visit Lakshadweep, a special permit is essential for everyone, including Indian citizens and foreign tourists.

How many islands can you visit?

Lakshadweep is an archipelago of 36 islands. However, travel is restricted to only five of them: Agatti, Bangaram, Kadmat, Minicoy, and Kavaratti.

Applying for the permit

You can apply for the permit offline or online. For online applications, create an account on the ePermit portal at https://epermit.utl.gov.in/pages/signup

Online permit

Submit the required forms and documents on the ePermit portal specifying your travel date. The permit will be emailed to you 15 days prior to your scheduled visit.

Submitting the documents

Download the application from the website. Fill the form, attach the copies of necessary documents, and submit it to the collector’s office.
