Neha runs a tea startup with the name ‘Ampu Tea Neha.’ She has a prosthetic leg, and uses crutches for support, but her determination is simply unmatched.
The tea shop’s name ‘Ampu Tea Neha’ is truly remarkable. It has been derived from the English word ‘amputated.’
Her left side of the body was damaged and due to a delay in treatment, she had to undergo amputation, losing one of her legs.
Her father works as an electrician. She did her schooling from a government school.
She was making Rs 3,000 in a month. Her salary was increased to Rs 7,000 but it was still not sufficient for a decent living.
There, she worked at Just Dial for a few years before landing a job at a school with a monthly income of Rs 33,000.
Neha’s life took a tragic turn when she met with the accident. Her parents had planned to buy a house for her. After the accident, securing employment became challenging for her.
Acknowledging the fact that her condition was irreversible was the hardest thing to deal with.
But due to the financial constraints, she decided to open a tea shop.
She sells almost 300 cups of tea daily and earns somewhere around Rs 1 lakh to 1.5 lakh in a month.
