Hailing from Pilkhuwa in Uttar Pradesh, Aashna Chaudhary is a remarkable IPS officer. Her story exemplifies how a small-town girl can dream big and achieve her goals.
Aashna's father, Dr Ajit Chaudhary, is a government college professor, and her mother, Indu Singh, is a homemaker. Her parents always encouraged her to dream big.
Aashna pursued a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from LSR, Delhi University. She then obtained a Master's degree in International Relations from South Asian University.
During her Master's, Aashna worked with an NGO, educating underprivileged children. This experience motivated her to work towards social change.
Aashna couldn't clear the prelims in her first attempt in 2020. In her second attempt in 2021, she missed the cutoff by a mere 2.5 marks.
Before her third attempt, Aashna refined her strategy. She revised the syllabus thoroughly and focused on practicing more mock tests.
In the 2022 exam, Aashna scored 922 out of 2025 and secured the 116th rank. She chose IPS as her preferred service, even though she could have opted for IAS.
IPS Aashna is quite active on social media, with nearly 250,000 followers on Instagram. She is truly an inspiration for thousands of UPSC aspirants.
