Meet Gagan Anand

Gagan Anand is the founder of Scuzo Ice-O-Magic, a dessert cafe that serves 'live' popsicles and gelato. It's India's first live ice cream cafe and has over 30 stores nationwide.

Early life

Gagan hails from a middle-class family in Jharkhand. In hopes of becoming an actor, he moved to Delhi with just Rs 1200 in his pocket.

Early career

After struggling in Delhi, Gagan stumbled upon Pizza Hut and joined as a part-time worker. After finishing his 12th grade, Gagan worked hard and became general manager at 21.

Gaining experience

From there, he worked for several big companies, such as Burger King, KFC, and Rasna. He also moved to Dubai to work at Gloria Jeans Coffee and garnered experience and savings.

Starting his company

During the first wave of COVID, Gagan got inspired by the ice popsicles he used to have in childhood and decided to start his business in India.

Working hard

He invested Rs 70 lakh from his savings and worked towards crafting recipes and machinery with professionals to fit the live popsicle concept of his company.

Dream come true

In November 2020, Gagan launched his first Scuzo store near Netaji Shubash Palace, New Delhi. Since then he has expanded the menu and has openened several franchises.
