Lakshmi Vilas Palace is renowned as the world’s largest private home. And the owner of this palace is the Gaekwad family of Baroda.
 

Radhikaraje belongs to the royal family of Baroda. She is married to Samarjitsinh Gaekwad, the owner of Lakshmi Vilas Palace. 
 

Remarkably, Lakshmi Vilas Palace is four times larger than Buckingham Palace. 

Radhikaraje’s father gave up royal privileges to become an IAS officer. Inspired by her father, she also wanted to make a career of her own. 
 

At the young age of 20, she began working as a journalist. She was the first woman in her family to pursue a career. While working, she also completed her master’s degree. 
 

Radhikaraje Gaekwad lives in Lakshmi Vilas Palace with her family. 
 

Reportedly, the Gaekwad family has a net worth of Rs 20,000 crore. 
 

Lakshmi Vilas Palace was designed by Robert Fellowes Chrisholm, a British architect.
