Sethpal Singh, a resident of Nandi Firozpur village in Saharanpur, has turned farming into a profitable venture.

Sethpal, skilled in advanced farming, created a pond on one acre of land and started organic water chestnut farming. He makes substantial profits.

Sethpal transformed his field into a pond and cultivated water chestnuts. Their quality is so high they sell at double the market price.

He has received prestigious awards like the Padma Shri and Jagjivan Ram Abhinav Puraskar for his success in organic farming.

He started intercropping onions, fennel, potatoes, mustard, radish, lentils, and turmeric with sugarcane, inspiring other farmers.

Sethpal has also created new employment opportunities in the village through water chestnut farming.
