23-year-old Sripathi from Tamil Nadu has made history by becoming the first tribal woman from the Malayali tribe in the state to be appointed as a civil judge.
Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister MK Stalin congratulated Sripathi on X (Twitter). He expressed his joy on her historic success.
Sripathi was raised in the Puliyar village near Javadhu Hill. She received her education from a government school in Tamil Nadu.
Sripathi got married at a young age. Despite her multiple responsibilities, she pursued an LLB degree with her family’s support.
Despite facing numerous challenges while juggling her studies alongside family responsibilities, Sripathi never gave up.
Sripathi gained attention when she travelled from her village to Chennai, to appear for the exam just two days after giving birth to a child.
Sripathi received immense support from her husband, Venkataraman, and her mother, during her preparation journey.
