Born on October 8, 1980, in Bhopal, Simala Prasad grew up with a passion for art and education. Her father was an IAS officer and MP, while her mother is a renowned writer.

Simala Prasad studied at St. Joseph's Co-ed School and completed her post-graduation from Barkatullah University, where she excelled academically and became a gold medalist.

Simala Prasad first became a DSP after clearing the MPPSC exam. However, determined to become an IPS officer, she prepared for UPSC without coaching.
