Here is the inspiring story of an IAS officer from Rajasthan. She serves as the CEO of the Zilla Parishad in Jaipur.
Pratibha Verma is overseeing numerous initiatives under government schemes in rural areas. She has previously served as the SDM in Sikar.
Pratibha is originally from Uttar Pradesh. After doing BTech from IIT Delhi, she also got a high-paying job in a mobile production company. However, she quit her job.
She began preparing for UPSC and, although she didn’t succeed in 2017, she persevered and in 2018, secured the 489th rank, becoming an IRS officer.
After becoming Income Tax Commissioner in Nagpur, she wasn’t satisfied and aimed for the IAS. She gave it a third attempt to achieve her goal.
Pratibha battled dengue in 2019, typhoid in 2020, and then contracted COVID-19, but her determination never wavered. She overcame all challenges and became an IAS officer in 2020.
