After clearing the UPSC exams, IAS, IFS, and IPS officers undergo intensive training.
The foundational training is provided at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand.
The foundation course lasts for three months. The trainee officers gain knowledge about administrative skills and more.
After the foundation course, IAS officers continue their training at LBSNAA whereas IPS and IFS officers join other training academies.
As part of the training course, IAS trainee officers get the opportunity of going on Bharat Darshan tour to learn about the various cultures of India.
IPS officers receive their further training at the Sardar Vallabhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad.
IFS officers receive their further training at the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service in New Delhi.
