Honey, they shrank the Congress!
The Congress that once got 404 seats in the first Lok Sabha election in 1952, started shrinking after Indira Gandhi's assassination to a sorry 44 in 2014. The number was so bad that it made the Congress' performance of 1977 look better when people for the first time voted out the grand old party with 153 seats. Is Congress losing significance in India's electoral polity?
