In a recent incident reported by Ajay Giri, the Field Director at Agumbe Rainforest Research Station (ARRS), a majestic 12-ft-long king cobra ventured into a residential area in Karnataka, sparking both awe and concern among locals. The incident unfolded when residents of Agumbe noticed the enormous snake entwined in a bush near a house, prompting them to alert forest officials.
Ajay Giri, sharing details of the rescue operation online, highlighted that the king cobra had initially been spotted crossing a main road before seeking refuge within the confines of a residential compound. The presence of such a large and formidable reptile understandably caused a stir among residents, who swiftly notified the forest department for assistance.
