The central government, headed by PM Narendra Modi, has given a reply in writing (in Lok Sabha) stating there is no need for a formal recommendation to award Bharat Ratna award to Veer Savarkar.  Kashmir divisional commissioner Baseer Ahmad Khan said that the situation is getting better every passing day in the Valley
