A man from Coimbatore has been arrested after he made a call claiming there was a bomb threat at the residences of Superstar Rajinikanth and former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa. Police say man is mentally unstable.

One protester was killed after sustaining bullet injuries and several people including four security personnel were injured during clash between protesters and security personnel at Naharlagun, Itanagar. Protesters indulge in arson and stone pelting.
