Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has offered to lead an anti-drug campaign to be launched by six northern states affected by the menace.

The rise of Rawat is being seen as a major threat to Uttarakhand Congress chief, Preetam Singh, who has been working hard to regain the lost ground in the state

The Army headquarters issued the warning in the wake of three to four officers dying in service due to heart attacks or other lifestyle-related diseases

Sources told My Nation that the main reasons for these deaths in the army were accidents and lifestyle diseases as a large number of troops have lost lives due to heart attacks as they could not cope with the tough physical regime

The Uttarakhand state government will ensure that those who perpetrate rape on minor girls are sent to the gallows. Efforts are underway to make strict laws in this regard 

"Officers indulging in sycophancy with an eye on their careers through ‘eye wash’ need to be identified and those conducting themselves with dignity, often labelled as ‘work horses’, need to be given their dues," said General Bipin Rawat.
