The decision was taken after an alert was issued by the Intelligence Bureau that said Pakistani spy agency ISI may poison the food that is supposed to be served to CRPF jawans

40 government school students from Koppal district in Karnataka fell ill on Thursday after consuming mid-day meals

This is the second such incident in a span of a month that has come to light. Earlier in December 17 people died after consuming poisonous prasad at a temple in Mandya district in Karnataka. 

On Friday, one person died, and six were hospitalised after consuming prasad prepared for puja at the Ganga Bhavani temple in Chintamani in Chikkaballapur district in Karnataka.

On Friday morning, the prasad was distributed after a puja at the Maramma temple. Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy said the principal secretary and commissioner have instructed district health officials of Mandya and Mysore to provide all possible help.
