She blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for trying to disturb peace during its 12-hour shutdown and praised the state administration for "foiling attempts" to disrupt normal life in Bengal.

BJP Tamil Nadu president Tamilisai Soundarajan applauded Prime Minister Modi for launching the world's largest healthcare scheme Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana - 'Ayushman Bharat' and also appealed to people to join her in nominating the Prime Minister for the Nobel Peace Prize.
