The Sabarimala Ayyappa Seva Samajom and the Hindu Aikyavedi have called for a dawn-to-dusk hartal in Pathanamthitta district on Friday regarding the mysterious death of Sivadasan.

The yatra, organised by the NDA, will begin on November 8 from Kasargod and culminate at Pathanamthitta in Kerala on November 13. BJP state president PS Sreedharan Pillai addressed the reporters. 
 

Pleading for peace, board president Padmakumar stressed that the Sabarimala shrine should not transform into a political hotbed.

Many roads were found deserted and closed after the massive postest held against the Supreme Court's order allowing entry of women of all age groups into Sabarimala shrine.

The Devaswom Board has much bigger problems to handle than the entry of menstruating women into Sabarimala. The threat of defecation in open, the capacity of sewage collection tanks that have been compromised and the problems caused by simple flower garlands confront this place in Kerala.

A case was registered against Maniyamma of Pathanamthitta district, Kerala, for abusing Pinarayi Vijayan with casteist slur.
 

 A protest rally by BJP-led NDA began from Pandalam in Pathanamthitta district and would end in front of the Secretariat here with a demonstration on October 15. BJP state president PS Sreedharan Pillai and Bharat Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS) president Thushar Vellapally led the march.
