Just days after Kamal Haasan courted controversy by stating that independent India’s first terrorist was a Hindu, a daily Namadhu Amma has gone on to make a commentary on Kamal Haasan, which has sent shockwaves across the country.

Haasan had on May 12 said, “I am not saying this because many Muslims are here, I am saying this in front of Mahatma Gandhi’s statue. The first terrorist in independent India is a Hindu, his name is Nathuram Godse.”

Two complaints against Kamal Haasan have been filed in relation to his remark on Hindu terror. While one complaint has been filed by Ramakrishnan, district president of Hindu Munnani of Tamil Nagar at Aravakurichi police station, the other has been filed by Vishnu Gupta at Delhi's Patiala House Court
