The Indian Air Force will commission first four of its 15 Chinook helicopters in their fleet in Chandigarh on March 25. The induction of these helicopters will bound to make Pakistan and Chinese army uncomfortable as it will give swift access to the forces. 

Rahul Gandhi's close aide and Indian Overseas Congress chief Sam Pitroda, during an interview, said, “If they (IAF) killed 300, it is ok. All I am saying is can you give me more facts and prove it.”

Special stress is given on developing and manufacturing weapons for the forces within the country. This will also be a big push for PM Modi's Make in India initiative.

The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) jets were caught on Indian radars and preventive measures were taken. As the jets remained within Pakistani-controlled territory, they were not shot down.

On Saturday, a Pakistani spying drone was trying to enter the Indian territory across the Rajasthan border which was caught by the Army's radar system and shot down.

MiG-21s have proved their mettle on several occasions, including the recent F-16 kill. However, what gives the MiG the nickname of ‘flying coffin’ is the high number of crashes involving the aircraft and its variants that has led India to lose some of its best pilots.

The MiG-21 aircraft was on a routine mission and crashed after getting airborne from the Nal airbase near Bikaner. The pilot of the aircraft ejected safely, the spokesperson said.

The decision was taken by defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman in line with the government’s resolve to make the 1.3 million strong Army leaner and fit for a 21st century war.

The Border Security Force (BSF) on Wednesday detained a 50-year-old person, who crossed the border from Pakistan’s side at the Rann of Kutch. The BSF, however, said that nothing has been recovered from his possession.

According to a senior IAF official, to enhance the firepower capacity of Sukhoi-30s it will be equipped with SPICE-2000. Currently, only Mirage-2000 fighter jets are capable of delivering these bombs.
