Opening batsman Chris Gayle on Wednesday (June 26) declared himself as one of the West Indies greats and said he will come out of ODI retirement to play the home series against India. On the eve of the India-West Indies World Cup 2019 match in Manchester, Gayle said he will continue to play after the ICC showpiece event. Earlier, he had announced ODI retirement in February. Gayle also spoke about West Indies cricket’s future and the youngsters who are likely to make a big impact.
