Uh-oh! Vishagan Vanangamudi almost refused to marry Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya

Bengaluru: Earlier this year, Rajinikanth's younger daughter Soundarya and businessman Vishagan Vanangamudi tied the knot in Chennai on February 11. The do was attended by many celebrities from the world of entertainment and politics.

From Kajol, Manchu Lakshmi to Aditi Rao Hydari and director AR Murugadoss, the crème de la crème of Tamil cinema came to bless couple. Political leaders including CM Edappadi K. Palaniswami , Kamal Haasan, DMK leaders MK Stalin and the state’s chief minister K Palaniswami were also present at the reception. 

The pictures and videos of the couple from the wedding took the internet by storm and received positive comments.

Recently, during an interview, Soundarya revealed that she was very tensed as her son Ved was not at the mandap during the muhurtam. But it was then; Vishagan turned to her and promised that he will not marry her until Ved arrived at the mandap. She said,"Ved took a liking the first time he met Vishagan. I showed him Vishagan's picture and said: "see daddy". Vishagan is very patient with Ved. It was the Muhurtham time and Ved wasn't at the Mandapam yet. I was really tensed but Vishagan turned towards me and said, "I will not marry you until Ved arrives." Ved feels a sense of protection with Vishagan and that's what I needed. We wanted our kid to see and know everything. Vishagan actually asked permission from Ved if he could marry me and we have taken a video of that. We will show Ved the video once he turns 18."

Soundarya stated that Vishagan was extremely protective of her son Ved and grew fond of him in a short span of time. 

 Soundarya was previously married businessman Ashwin Ramkumar in 2010 and were blessed with a baby boy named Ved in 2015. However, due to the irreconcilable differences, the couple got divorced in 2017. Vishagan, too, was married to magazine editor Kanikha Kumaran. They decided to part ways and end their marriage due to personal differences.
