Actor Mohan Babu recently joined the YCP in the presence of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at the latter's Lotus Pond residence.

Soon, pictures of Mohan and Jagan were all over the internet after party members shared them on their social media pages.

The actor also shared the picture and tweeted in Telugu, stating, "Jagan Babu is fighting for the Telugu community. He invited me to join his party in his fight. Therefore, I am joining him."

With this announcement many followers of the party were happy, but few mocked Mohan.

 Mohan recently held a dharna in Tirupati to protest the non-payment of the fee reimbursement to students by the TDP government.

 He had alleged that Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu did not keep his commitment, as Sri Vidyanikethan educational institutions had not received the fee reimbursement of Rs 19 crore. People and media criticised the actor for staging a dharna just weeks before the Lok Sabha election.

Interestingly, Mohan's daughter-in-law is the first cousin of YSR Congress Party chief Jagan Mohan Reddy.
