Bhushan Ugale found success by starting a hygienic golgappa business in Nashik, earning lakhs and inspiring others.
Bhushan Ugale, a Nashik graduate, faced challenges in finding employment after completing his studies. In 2018, he took the BSF (Border Security Force) exam but narrowly missed the cut-off. Determined to succeed, he then prepared for the CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) exam, advancing to the final stage. Unfortunately, he fell ill during the exam and was unable to seize that opportunity. Undeterred, he turned his focus to selling golgappas, and today he is earning lakhs. His journey serves as an inspiration to anyone facing discouragement in their job search.
Background
Bhushan comes from a financially challenged background. His parents had modest jobs that barely covered their expenses. Determined not to add to his family's burdens, Bhushan took it upon himself to fund his own education. He earned a BSc in Chemistry and began preparing for competitive exams, but faced numerous setbacks along the way. Despite his perseverance, his family encouraged him to seek employment instead.
Dissatisfaction from job
Listening to his family's advice, Bhushan accepted a job. However, even after working 12 hours a day, he found the salary to be insufficient. The long hours left him with little time for further studies, and he began to feel that his future was uncertain. This realization prompted him to explore the possibility of starting his own business.
Starting a Golgappa business
Bhushan had always aspired to pursue something unique. He believed that entrepreneurship presented greater opportunities for success. The golgappa business particularly attracted him because of its low start-up costs and widespread popularity among Indians.
Hygienic Pani Puri water
Leveraging his chemistry background, Bhushan infused alkali into the pani puri water, ensuring it was hygienic. This innovative approach set his stall apart and attracted a steady stream of customers. Patrons felt confident knowing they were enjoying safe and clean pani puri from Bhushan's stall.
BSC Pani Puriwala
Today, Bhushan's pani puri stall at Marathon Chowk in Nashik is well-known as 'BSC Pani Puriwala.' This distinctive name has drawn significant attention, and the sight of an educated individual selling pani puri has piqued curiosity among passersby. He now earns between Rs 40,000 and 50,000 per month, surpassing the average salary of many traditional jobs and granting him financial independence.
