Rashmika Mandanna-Rakshit Shetty breakup: ‘We are disturbed,’ says actress's mother

Kannada actress Rashmika Mandanna is grabbing headlines because her engagement with Kannada actor-director Rakshit Shetty was called off recently.

In an interview with BTV News, Rashmika's mother Suman Mandanna said that the families are moving on from the break-up. "We are disturbed and on the path to recovery. For every individual, his life comes first.... nobody likes to hurt each other and everybody should be happy..." Suman revealed.

She also said that there was no point in holding on to the strained relationship since this will affect the careers of both the actors. The concerned families have taken mutually decided to honour Rashmika's decision on ending the relationship.

According to reports, the families took the decision a month ago as the relationship was not working for various reasons.

Rashmika and Rakshit, who fell in love with each other on the sets of Sandalwood blockbuster Kirik Party, got engaged on July 3, 2017. Speaking to the media, the couple had said that the marriage was not on cards and it might happen only after two years. 

Rashmika is currently basking in the success of her blockbuster Telugu release Geetha Govindam, and now she is being flooded with offers from Telugu and Kannada film industries.
