Actor Prabhas of Baahubali fame was offered the role of Raja Rawal Singh in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Padmaavat, but he rejected it.
Telugu superstar Prabhas who gave blockbusters like Baahubali 1 and 2 was apparently offered the role of Raja Rawal Singh in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat, but he thought otherwise. According to reports, Prabhas had just come out of the grand success of Baahubali series.
The actor reportedly felt that the role of Raja Rawal Singh, which was later played by Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, was not meaty enough for him. However, there is no official confirmation on this update.
A few days ago, there was news that it was not Deepika Padukone, but Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who was the original choice for the role of Maharani Padmavati.
Aishwarya also confirmed this to an entertainment portal. "Bhansali wanted me to do Padmaavat, but could not get the Khilji for me, at the casting time. So, that's how it didn't happen."
The movie is one of the highest earning films of 2018 so far. In fact, Padmaavat was able to beat box office collections of Prabhas’ Baahubali in many parts of the world like North America, UK, Australia.
The movie told the tale of the beautiful Rani Padmini of Chittorgarh, who indulged in self-immolation, to avoid falling into the hands of the Turkish invader Alauddin Khilji.
