Nag Ashwin's directorial film Kalki 2898 AD is basking in success with over Rs 1000 core collected at the box office. The sci-fi dystopian film starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani has been getting positive feedback from both the audience and the critics. Recently, Nag took to his Instagram to express his feelings over the success of Kalki 2898 AD in a now-deleted post. In the post, he mentioned achieving this milestone without showing any blood, gore, or obscenity. What do you think? Is Nag making a snide remark at Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal? Here's what fans think.

Nag wrote, "This milestone...this number... is obviously massive for a young team like ours... but the fact that we achieved it without blood, gore, obscenity, provocative or exploitative content, means so much... a big thank you to the audience and the actors who stood behind us. Indian Cinema #repatikosam," before deleting the post.

Several netizens took a screengrab of the post and expressed their thoughts about it on X (formerly Twitter). One user wrote, "Budget is 4x times of Animal and have casting like Amitabh, Kamal Hassan, Deepika Padukone, Dulquer Salman etc etc and comparing yourself with Vanga who made blockbuster with just music screenplay and Ranbir Kapoor ? @nagashwin7 enduku ayya comparison."

Several other Animal fans also joined in the conversation and defended Sandeep Reddy Vanga and the film. One person wrote, "True nobody is gonna comment on you @nagashwin7 for using our religion and culture to score a blockbuster Movie was average the interval bang and climax saved it never comment on others genre and style of making movies."

Kalki 2898 AD ended with a cliffhanger and the second part has been announced. The existing cast of Kalki including Prabhas, Deepika, Amitabh, and Kamal will be seen again in the sequel. On the flip side, Sandeep Reddy Vanga has announced his next project with the Baahubali star Prabhas. It will be a cop-thriller named Spirit and Vanga has stated in an interview that this movie will have more violence than Animal and Kabir Singh.
