Kartik Aaryan's first look from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is out as he steps into the shoes of Akshay Kumar, dressed as a local 'ghostbuster'.
On Monday (August 19) morning, Kartik Aaryan shared the first look from his highly-anticipated film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Stepping into the shoes of Akshay Kumar, Bollywood's next-gen star Kartik Aaryan is all set to feature in the sequel of 2007 Bhool Bhulaiyaa which featured Vidya Balan, Shiney Ahuja and Ameesha Patel.
Anees Bazmee will direct the horror-comedy, which will release on July 31, 2020.
In the first look of the movie, Kartik is donning a saffron colour garb of a ghostbuster. The actor resembles Akshay from the first instalment.
Kartik can be seen carrying a victory sign skeleton hand along with cool sunglasses, which will leave you in splits.
The actor shared the poster on his Instagram page. "Ghostbuster is all set to enter Hare Ram Hare Ram Hare Krishna Hare Ram Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2," he wrote alongside the picture.
In an interview, Kartik talked about the movie, “Bhool Bhulaiyaa has always been one of my favourite comedic supernatural thriller films and now being part of BB2 makes me happy, especially because I’ve been a big fan of Akshay Kumar sir and it’s a great responsibility to take his franchise forward. It’s a hilarious script and Anees sir has taken it to another level. I’m also looking forward to working with Murad bhai.”
The first part of the film was a remake of Malayalam blockbuster Manichitrathazhu, which was directed by Fazil and Bhool Bhulaiyaa was directed by Priyadarshan.
Meanwhile, Kartik is busy shooting for his upcoming film Pati Patni Aur Woh, which also features Ananya Panday and Bhumi Pednekar. He also has a romantic movie in the pipeline with Sara Ali Khan. And the film is directed by Imtiaz Ali for Valentine’s Day release next year.
Kartik is also the main lead with Janhvi Kapoor and a yet-to-be-announced actor in Dharma Productions’ Dostana 2. Not just that, he has also bagged Anees Bazmee's film with Disha Patani.
