Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi have begun shooting for their upcoming thriller called Chehre. It will be directed by Rumi Jaffrey.
Mumbai: Directed by Rumi Jaffrey, the film goes on floors Friday. The project is produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures and Saraswati Entertainment Private Limited.
Anand Pandit, who has also produced Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Sarkar 3, Satyamev Jayate, Bazaar and the recent blockbuster Total Dhamaal, said in a press statement, “Yes, we are delighted to announce ‘Chehre’ as the title of the film with Mr Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi. We are extremely excited to commence the shoot from today and looking forward to seeing Mr. Bachchan and Emraan onscreen for the first time.”
Confirming the news, Emraan Hashmi took to Twitter and shared a picture from the muhurat. “One more off the bucket list😁 as I start shooting for a mystery thriller #Chehre with the legendary @SrBachchan, produced by @anandpandit63 and directed by #RumiJaffery stellar cast : @annukapoor_ @tweet2rhea @kriti_official @siddhanthkapoor #RaghubirYadav@apmpictures,” he wrote.
It also features Kriti Kharbanda, Rhea Chakraborty, Siddhanth Kapoor, Dritman Chakroborthy, Raahgir Yadav and Annu Kapoor. The film releases on February 21, 2020.
Last seen in the box office hit, Badla, Amitabh will soon feature in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Mouni Roy, the film is set to hit theatres sometime next year. His 2018 release, Thugs of Hindostan, which featured Katrina Kaif, Aamir Khan and Amitabh, proved to be a dud at the box office.
