Rishi Kapoor was a popular Indian actor. He was born on 4 September 1952 in Chembur, Mumbai, Maharashtra. He died on 30 April 2020 in Mumbai. He did his schooling from Champion School, Mumbai. He pursued a graduate degree from Mayo College, Ajmer. 

He was the son of legendary actor Raj Kapoor. His mother, Krishna Kapoor was a homemaker. His siblings are Randhir Kapoor, Rajeev Kapoor, Ritu Nanda, and Reema Jain. 

He was married to Neetu Singh. Their children are Ranbir Kapoor, and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.

In 1973, Rishi Kapoor played his first role as a lead actor in the blockbuster hit film ‘Bobby’ opposite actress Dimple Kapadia.
