Prabhas is an Indian actor. His real name is Venkata Satyanarayana Prabhas Raju Uppalapati. He was born on 23 October 1979 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. His sun sign is Scorpio. He completed his schooling from DNR School, Bhimavaram. He earned a B Tech degree from Shri Chaitanya College, Hyderabad.

As a child, Prabhas aspired to become a businessman instead of an actor. 

His uncle, who is a popular Telugu film actor, Krisham Raju Uppalapati encouraged him to pursue a career in the acting field. 

Prabhas made his debut in the year 2002 with a Telugu film ‘Ishwar’.

In the year 2004, he played the role of ‘Venkat’ in the film ‘Varsham’. This was his first film that helped him earn recognition in the entertainment industry.
