Avika Gor is an Indian actress. She was born on 30 June 1997 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She completed her schooling from Ryan International School, Mumbai. Her father’s name is Sameer Gaur and her mother’s name is Chetna Gaur.

She was born and brought up in a middle-class Gujarati family. Her father Sameer Gaur is an insurance agent and her mother is a homemaker.

Avika’s television debut

She made her Hindi television debut in the year 2007 with ‘Ssshhh… Koi Hai’.

Avika gained immense popularity with her character of ‘Anandi’ in ‘Balika Vadhu’. The show was based on the social issue of child marriage, she played the character of a married girl.

She received the ‘Indian Television Academy Award’ in 2008, 2009 and 2010 for her performance as a child artist in ‘Balika Vadhu’.

She participates in various social programmes to spread awareness in the society.

Reality TV shows

In the year 2009, she did a dance performance in the reality show ‘India's Got Talent Season 1’.

Avika participated in the famous dance show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 5’ in the year 2012 as a wild card contestant.

Avika has acted in successful films including ‘Cinema Chopista Mava', 'Care of Footpath 2', 'Ekadiki Pothavu Chinnavada', 'Raju Gari Gadhi 3' and 'Net'.

In 2013, she made her debut in the Telugu film industry with the film ‘Uyyala Jampala’.

In 2014, she received the ‘Best Female Debut’ in the 3rd South Indian International Film Award ceremony.

Avika is very fond of animals, and she also has a pet dog named ‘Shiru’. She often shares her pictures with her pet dog on social media.
