Akhilesh Yadav is an Indian politician. He was born on 1 July 1973 in Saifai, Uttar Pradesh. Her sun sign is Cancer. He did his schooling from Dholpur Military School, Rajasthan. He attended Mysore University, Karnataka, and Sydney University, Australia. He holds a master’s degree in Civil Environment Engineering.

His father, Mulayam Singh Yadav was the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. His mother, Malti Devi was a homemaker. 

He is married to Dimple Yadav. They are parents to three kids, Aditi Yadav, Tina Yadav, and Arjun Yadav.

Akhilesh Yadav is the son of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mulayam Singh Yadav. Like his father, he is a member of the Samajwadi Party. 

At the young age of 27, Akhilesh was elected to the Lok Sabha as an MP by winning the by-election from Kannauj Lok Sabha constituency of Uttar Pradesh in the year 2000. 

In the 2004 Lok Sabha elections, he was elected as a member of the 14th Lok Sabha.

On 10 March 2012, Akhilesh Yadav was appointed as the leader of the Samajwadi Party.

Akhilesh Yadav became the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on 15 March 2012. With his massive win, he earned the title of being the youngest Chief Minister of UP. 

On 29 September 2022, in the national conference of Samajwadi Party, Akhilesh Yadav was elected as the President of Samajwadi Party for the third time.
