Amit Shah announces Thushar Vellapally as Rahul Gandhi’s opponent in Wayanad

Thiruvananthapuram: BJP national chief Amit Shah in an announcement stated that the party will field Thushar Vellapally from Wayanad constituency. Thushar was earlier selected to contest from Thrissur district and had even campaigned there for two days.

Thushar was shifted to Wayanad after Congress chief after it was announced that Rahul Gandhi would be the Congress candidate from Wayanad. Paily Vathyat of the BDJS was earlier chosen as the candidate from Wayanad.
