1. Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone is a big name in the film industry and has some megasuccessful movies in her name. Her first business venture was when she launched her fashion brand ‘All About You’ on Myntra, an online shopping platform. She also released her self-care brand ‘82°E’ which focuses on natural living, and emotional and physical wellbeing.
2. Shah Rukh Khan
Titled the ‘Badshah of Bollywood’, Shah Rukh has many businesses running alongside his acting career. He co-owns an IPL team called ‘Kolkata Knight Riders’ with his Bollywood friend Juhi Chawala. Shah Rukh and his wife, Gauri Khan also launched Red Chillies Entertainment, a production company. He also invested in the Red Chillies VFX, KIdZania in 2014, a theme park chain, Meerkat in 2015, a live streaming app, and Numi, a nutrition and health app.
3. Katrina Kaif
Besides giving blockbusters like Tiger Zinda Hai and Phantom, Katrina also rules the beauty business with her makeup brand ‘Kay beauty’. She launched Kay beauty in 2019. It is a makeup brand which has partnered with Nykka, an online beauty store. Kay beauty has been successful since its launch and has grossed more than Rs. 100 crore in such a short period.
4. A. R. Rahman
A. R. Rahman is a musical genius and is a popular name worldwide. He also joined the business club of Bollywood when he launched his media company called Qyuki. Qyuki is founded by A. R. Rahman, Director Shekhar Kapoor, and Managing Director Samir Bangara. It is an artist-focused network that focuses on providing a platform for budding creators and produce innovative content.
5. Hrithik Roshan
Hrithik Roshan is not just a great actor and a dancer, but also a successful entrepreneur. He founded his lifestyle brand HRX in 2012 which focuses on activewear and fitness-related products. HRX partnered with Myntra and is an extremely successful brand there. The net value of HRX is around Rs. 200 crore, which shows its popularity amongst Indian shoppers. Hrithik also invested in a fitness and health startup, Curefit.
