Women candidates have shown outstanding performance in the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) exam results. Six women secured spots in the top 10, with Patna's Anjali Joshi securing the 4th rank. What makes Anjali's achievement even more impressive is that she cleared this tough exam on her first attempt. Anjali Joshi’s background

Anjali Joshi was born in the Anisabad area of Patna, the capital of Bihar. Her father, Vijay Kumar Prasad, serves as an Assistant Director in the Planning and Development Department. Inspired by her parents' wish for her to join the administrative services, Anjali put in relentless effort to make their dreams a reality. After passing her board exams in 2013, she completed her engineering degree in 2019. Following her graduation, she secured a job in a private company through college placements. While working, Anjali made the decision to prepare for the BPSC exam.

Anjali Joshi’s BPSC preparation

Balancing preparation for a competitive exam with a job is no easy feat, but Anjali made it possible through sheer determination. She created a disciplined routine, dedicating 6-8 hours each day to her studies. Rather than relying on coaching, Anjali chose to follow a self-study approach. She practiced answer writing daily, which helped sharpen her skills. Opting for Geography as her optional subject, she focused on key resources like NCERT books, Bihar government reports, and current affairs. Anjali meticulously revised each topic and made detailed notes to strengthen her preparation.

Anjali shared that she never expected to be in the top 5, but her friends had full confidence in her. She attributed her success to the 6-8 hours of daily study that helped her stay focused and disciplined. Anjali’s next goal is to clear the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam, and she is putting in continuous effort to achieve it. She believes that the biggest challenge in society is literacy, and she is determined to contribute towards addressing this issue. Anjali aims to ensure that government schemes reach as many people as possible, making a meaningful impact on society.
