With the rising temperature and scorching sun above our heads, the danger of skin cancer from harmful UVA and UVA rays is also increasing. The government of the Netherlands has started an initiative to protect its citizens from the growing risk of skin cancer and other harmful issues from sun exposure to the skin.

In 2023, several vending machines with sunscreen were installed at several open-public locations in the country to provide free sunscreen for people in need. A video of a woman using a Nivea sunscreen vending machine in a park in the Netherlands is going viral.

The video was posted on X (formerly Twitter), and the caption read, "Free sunscreen vending machines have begun to be placed in public areas in the Netherlands."

A woman can be seen using the vending machine to get the free sunscreen in the video. The post currently has over 11.5 million views and hundreds of comments from across the internet.

One user wrote, "Let me know the exact location, I have some empty bottles need filling..." making a light joke about it.

"We need this in my country, sunscreen are just so expensive here and there’s too much sun," another user wrote.

"This is incredible, I just hope they make sure to refill when the sunscreen is out of date," one person wrote highlighting the importance of restocking and caring for the machines.

"That's awesome! Free sunscreen is a great idea, especially for people who forget to bring some or can't afford it. Hope other places start doing this too," added a user.
